Welcome to SpeakLuma.

These Terms and Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of SpeakLuma's mobile application, website, and related educational services.

SpeakLuma is operated by SpeakLuma, a sole proprietorship registered at 466, Civil Line, Unnao, Uttar Pradesh – 209801, India.

By creating an account, accessing our platform, or using our services, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, you should discontinue using the service.

SpeakLuma is an AI-powered English-learning platform offering personalized lessons, language assessments, interactive speaking exercises, AI-generated conversations, and educational feedback.

Our objective is to help users improve their English communication skills through accessible and interactive learning experiences.

SpeakLuma provides educational assistance and does not guarantee any particular examination result, language certification, employment outcome, or level of fluency.

SpeakLuma is intended for English-language learners, including students and adults.

Users under 18 must have the permission of a parent or legal guardian where required by applicable law.

Parents or legal guardians are responsible for authorizing use and purchases where such authorization is legally required.

SpeakLuma may restrict access to certain services until necessary age-related consent or verification requirements are satisfied. Any age or guardian checkbox or declaration on the launch website is a declaration only, not verification.

Dedicated child-safety and parental-consent workflows have not been confirmed as implemented and tested. Applicable legal and Google Play Families requirements must be reviewed before enabling relevant features.

Users must create an account to access SpeakLuma's learning services.

During registration, users may be required to provide their name, email address, phone number, and authentication credentials.

You agree to provide accurate information and maintain the confidentiality of your login credentials.

You are responsible for activity occurring through your account, except where responsibility cannot lawfully be assigned to you.

SpeakLuma may provide personalized learning plans based on information such as English proficiency, educational objectives, assessment results, and learning performance.

Lessons, exercises, and recommendations may change according to progress, feature availability, and system updates.

We may modify or improve educational content to maintain service quality.

Personalized recommendations are educational suggestions and do not guarantee a particular learning outcome.

SpeakLuma uses artificial intelligence to generate language exercises, conversational responses, assessments, explanations, and corrections.

AI-generated content may occasionally contain inaccurate, incomplete, or inappropriate responses.

Users should apply reasonable judgment when relying on AI-generated feedback.

SpeakLuma does not guarantee that every AI-generated correction or assessment will be error-free.

Users should not submit passwords, financial credentials, highly sensitive personal information, or confidential third-party information during AI conversations.

SpeakLuma offers subscription-based access to its AI-powered English-learning services.

Under the current introductory offer, eligible new subscribers receive their first month of access free of charge.

Following the free month, the promotional subscription price is ₹149 per month for the next six months.

The applicable subscription price, billing frequency, taxes, payment authorization requirements, and renewal conditions will be clearly displayed before purchase.

The subscription price applicable after the six-month promotional period will be disclosed before the user authorizes any renewal at that price.

Users will not be charged an undisclosed higher subscription price.

Where recurring payments are enabled, they will occur only according to the billing arrangements disclosed to and authorized by the user.

Users may cancel recurring subscriptions through the applicable subscription management or payment-provider mechanisms.

Refund requests may be submitted to hello@speakluma.com and will be reviewed in accordance with applicable consumer protection laws and the disclosed refund policy.

Payment arrangements are not enabled on the current launch website, which accepts no payments.

Razorpay is SpeakLuma's intended payment processor for eligible website purchases if and when enabled. This legal-copy update does not implement a direct Razorpay checkout.

Before enabling Android payments, Google Play's payment policies must be reviewed. These Terms do not claim that Google Play Billing or alternative billing is currently enrolled, integrated, live, or compliant.

Where alternative billing is permitted in India, the necessary eligibility review, enrollment, integration, disclosures, transaction reporting, and other applicable requirements must be completed before use.

Payments may be made through supported payment methods made available during checkout if a future eligible arrangement is enabled.

Users are responsible for providing valid and authorized payment information.

Payment processing may be subject to Razorpay's applicable terms and policies.

SpeakLuma may temporarily restrict paid features if a transaction fails or a subscription is no longer active, where such paid features and payment arrangements have been enabled.

Users may request cancellation of their subscriptions through the cancellation options made available by SpeakLuma or the applicable payment provider.

Where a recurring payment arrangement is used, users should cancel before the next scheduled billing date to prevent further charges.

Cancellation does not automatically entitle a user to a refund for an already completed billing period.

Access to paid features following cancellation will depend on the disclosed subscription terms and any applicable legal rights.

SpeakLuma will review eligible requests based on the circumstances, the applicable purchase terms, payment-provider requirements, and relevant consumer protection laws.

Refunds required by applicable law will be provided.

Approved refunds will generally be returned through the original payment method, subject to processing procedures and timelines.

Users agree to use SpeakLuma lawfully and responsibly.

Users must not misuse the platform, attempt unauthorized access, interfere with its security, exploit technical vulnerabilities, impersonate another individual, or use SpeakLuma to generate unlawful, abusive, threatening, or harmful content.

Users must not attempt to obtain another user's private information or interfere with the learning experience of others.

SpeakLuma may take appropriate action against accounts involved in serious or repeated misuse.

Users may submit written answers, spoken responses, assessment submissions, and conversational inputs while using SpeakLuma.

You retain any rights you have in content you submit.

By submitting content, you authorize SpeakLuma and its authorized service providers to process that content as reasonably necessary to deliver learning features, generate feedback, personalize lessons, and operate the service, subject to our Privacy Policy and applicable law.

You should not submit content that infringes another person's rights or violates applicable law.

SpeakLuma's software, original educational materials, visual designs, trademarks, logos, application interfaces, and associated intellectual property belong to SpeakLuma or their respective licensors.

Subject to these Terms, users receive a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable right to access the application for personal educational purposes.

Users may not reproduce, redistribute, sell, reverse engineer, or commercially exploit protected materials except as permitted by law or with appropriate authorization.

We aim to provide a reliable learning experience.

However, SpeakLuma may occasionally experience interruptions due to maintenance, technical problems, network issues, third-party service disruptions, or software updates.

We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features where reasonably necessary, subject to applicable legal obligations.

SpeakLuma may save learning preferences, assessment results, lesson history, scores, and progress information to support continuity between sessions.

Users should maintain access to their registered account to retrieve this information.

Data processing and retention are governed by the SpeakLuma Privacy Policy.

Users may request deletion of their SpeakLuma accounts at any time. To request deletion within the application, open the Profile section and select ‘Delete Account.’

Users may also request account deletion by emailing hello@speakluma.com. Account-deletion information can be accessed at https://speakluma.com/delete-account.

Account deletion removes the account and its associated personal information, learning progress, assessment results, personalized learning plans, and saved conversation history, except information that SpeakLuma is legally required to retain.

Deletion requests will be handled securely, with reasonable identity or account-ownership verification where necessary to prevent unauthorized deletion.

Account deletion may result in the loss of saved learning history, progress information, and associated account data.

Deleting an account does not necessarily cancel an independently authorized recurring payment arrangement. Users should also cancel active subscriptions through the appropriate cancellation mechanism.

SpeakLuma may suspend or terminate access where reasonably necessary to address serious violations of these Terms, unlawful conduct, fraudulent activity, or security threats.

Where appropriate, users may be notified and given an opportunity to resolve the issue.

Users may discontinue using SpeakLuma at any time.

Termination does not affect rights or obligations that accrued before termination, including applicable payment obligations and legal rights.

SpeakLuma aims to provide educational services with reasonable care and skill.

To the extent permitted by applicable law, SpeakLuma is not responsible for losses arising solely from circumstances beyond its reasonable control, temporary service interruptions, or a user's improper use of the platform.

Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot legally be excluded or limits any mandatory consumer rights.

SpeakLuma uses technology and infrastructure provided by third parties, including AI, database, hosting, voice-processing, and payment providers.

Certain aspects of those services may be subject to the providers' applicable terms.

SpeakLuma is not responsible for independent third-party websites or services that users choose to access outside our platform, except where applicable law provides otherwise.

Our collection and processing of personal information are described in the SpeakLuma Privacy Policy.

By using SpeakLuma, you acknowledge that your information will be handled according to that policy and applicable legal requirements.

SpeakLuma may update its services and these Terms to reflect product improvements, new features, legal requirements, or operational changes.

Material changes will be communicated where required by applicable law.

Changes will not retroactively remove rights already accrued by users.

Where legally required, we will seek appropriate consent before applying revised terms.

These Terms are governed by the applicable laws of India.

Users are encouraged to contact SpeakLuma first to seek resolution of service-related concerns.

Disputes may be brought before courts or other competent authorities in accordance with applicable law.

Nothing in these Terms limits a consumer's right to approach an appropriate consumer dispute resolution forum or other authority having jurisdiction.
